Choose the Source Ability for this run

Play
This run walks through Ability Adaptation, first-act action, result panel, Settlement Card, Route saving, and the Challenge entry.
First 60 seconds
You wake in the Fog City clocktower. A countdown burns on the back of your hand, and someone outside is looking for you.
The first result gives immediate feedback
You do not break the lock. You only touch the copper wire with your fingertip. The footsteps outside pause for one second, and the wet footprint reveals the real approach.
Fog Investigator progress 1/3 The first private mark is written into your Runner profile. After Settlement, you can inspect its source and carry-out conditions.
Jump to the first choiceFirst-act loop
Choose a Source Ability, enter the selected World, see the local Ability Adaptation, read the result panel, then save your Route card after Settlement.

Playable First-Act Loop
All five worlds can run from the first first-act scene through choices, adjudication, Settlement, and a private pending Route.
Ability Adaptation
This low-magic modern mystery cannot carry open thunderstorms, only fine-grained sensing and short-circuit interference.
Use sensing to find evidence first, and avoid public supernatural effects.
First-act depth hooks
Each world gains replay pressure, not a novel-length content stockpile.
Keep flagship density, deepen Act 2 puzzles and hidden truth, but avoid unchecked long-form expansion.
Enemy counterplay
The detective starts using your abnormal calm as bait, forcing you to expose where the Ability comes from.
Triggers when suspicion or public anomaly rises.
Resource twist
The ticket stub is both evidence and a movement chance; using it sacrifices time at the scene.
Triggers when clues are enough but time is tight.
Relationship fracture
A key witness comes under pressure; pressing further advances truth but damages relationship and sanity.
Triggers when the player over-pursues dream or bell clues.
Failure recovery Route
After losing the live trail, the player can retreat to the archive and trade evidence chains for a lower-rejection return.
Enters when a key witness leaves, time runs out, or suspicion is too high.
Recovery loses the tracking window and slows hidden-truth progress.
Rare carry-out reward
A private title carried out of the world, improving lawful entry and evidence handling in low-magic mystery worlds.
Unlocks at 90 completion after a private Settlement.
